This was earlier in the same driving stint.
We were running about 2 1/2 hours each driver, to be more accurate it was till the fuel light stayed on + 3 laps.
My gear selection is ordinary, the thing wallows like a boat but it would track where I pointed it.
What a great car.

There is a point at 7000RPM where everyting fades. The machine becomes weightless, it disappears. All that's left is a body moving through space and time

Redlands Brake Doctor is underway. Not as busy as I feel it should be but I am the new kid against a long established business.
Flywheel Grinding is pretty much sorted, just some more tweaking and soon I hope the recessed flywheels we be achievable.. still not really sorted for these just yet. it's tricky when the outside edge is higher than the plate surface.
I am hopeful of doing some kind of website in July. I am not great at that. I have ads on Guntree and True-Local but they are more area specific than I like.
I have not got a 'Stalkbook' profile but this seems to be the likely easiest way to have people find me if they search. I don;t have much to say.. well actually I probably would if I was there but I don't like the whole thing. Long ago I did try to start a Stalk book page but I lasted about 45 minutes before deleting it.
Oh after 12 1/2 years Mrs HBD and I have reassembled the climbing wall from under her house. She designed and built it before I met her. When we moved in together in our townhouse We had to pull it down and put it into storage. Well it went from house to townhouse, to storage shed, to another storage shed, back to house then into shed and back into garage storage before now half of it is assembled in the shed under the mezzanine floor. There is more to be put together yet and maybe some new walls altogether.
This is mostly for a different form of exercise and some core strength work. The kids are loving it so far and Mrs HBD is pleased it is done. Now date nights don't need to be in front of the TV hahaha. Pizza, beer and climbing..
Getting this up took a little under the week I guess, fortunate that I had done nearly all my first sessions of door knock promoting and handing out business cards. Managed to get a run along in the building.
The house next door is now up for sale, I had often said that if it came up for sale I would buy it before even telling Mrs HBD. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Land pricing here has gone absolutely stupid with houses selling in the mid 500k's with the buyers knocking the places down to split the blocks. One example further up the street the 820m2 property sold at 549k, they cleared the block ( the house wasn't bad or run down in any way) split the block and are trying to sell the 410m2 blocks ar 439k each. Looks like ONE has sold. The other point being that technically, at present, I have no job or real income as self employed it is really next to impossible. Cest Le Vie
This is also kinda why we had to ditch the whole rebuild our house plans we and our good friend put so much time and effort into. Well the job thing was the final straw but with the covid building boom house building and builders increased 100k in a few months.

I've stopped riding, almost.. I think there have been 2 rides, one in Feb 2021 with Nina HBR at Scribbly Gums, her first really on her own, well with ME... but it was just the two of us who went out.
Nina is now riding the 20" trek MTB that was, years ago, modified for Lucas to ride.
Lucas is riding a 26" Dual suspension Giant Anthem I scored from a family friend.
I still have my 29" Single Speed but just don't find or make the time to go out. I understand I have have some sciaticca issue so I am not fussed on going out at night. There is always something going on or I don't feel right about going out riding and leaving Mrs HBR with the monsters.
Lucas did MTB coaching all 2019 and 2020 however we have dropped it this year so far in favour of him going indoor climbing, parkour and Ninja training. That's all at the same place on a Saturday Morning. they do about 20 minutes on each discipline and at least he is showing some interest.
Late March 2021 saw me give up gainful employment and go into self employment again. I have started another Brake and Flywheel Machining business - mobile again.. just bigger than my first foray into this (1989 the first time). Easter we had a week away and a lack of vehicle choices made April a bit of a write off. I had been trying to arrange the last few tooolings, business cards and stuff. Here it is Mid May and it's still not making much, I've had about a week of 'door knocking', good some good responses and a few jobs but not enough yet to call it a living.. or even afford 2 minute noodles..
I can do ON CAR disck brake machining, Off car Discs and Drums.. As of today I can grind flat or stepped flywheels but not yet recessed flywheels.
Well to be honest I still have not quite got the flywheel grinding sorted, about 90% there at present but still a work in progress. I have ordered a brake hose manufacturing machine for ADR approved hoses in rubber or braided lines. I think that's overdue by about almost a week at present. That will add another line to my repairs.
Only today I got the signwriting on the truck done. image above... with the ph number removed so I don't get scam calls on it like I get on my personal mobile. Actually this is the mock up so the final is better spaced and laid out.. but it's raining today so I'm not taking photos.
I do not have a website or any other form of advertising, I don't do Stalkbook and although I'm a twit I dont feed it. I guess one day I will have to sort that out. Maybe I will have to try that Stalkbook but really, apart from my wife and one friend, I dislike and distrust everyone else.
I bought the ute from NSW so today I tried to claim the remaining rego back, it seems it's not so straight forward.
In any case I guess next week will be better. I have most of Capalaba to door knock yet but I am up against another business that has been here about 5 + years. All we can do it try.
Mrs HBR has been supportive.. but maybe too supportive if that's possible.
I will see what else I can upload here sometime. maybe some photos..
